Michelle's funeral date, 10th February 2016, is Ash Wednesday and that marks the start of Lent. Lent is a period in the Christian calendar in which Christians reflect on God and try to draw closer to Him. Some fast (6 days of the week, not including the Sunday); others give up things, such as watching television. Whatever is done, the hope is, a closer walk with Jesus.
At the end of Lent, there is a time of reflection as we consider what Jesus has done for us in dying an agonising death on the cross. Then on Easter Sunday we celebrate in His glorious resurrection; and it is through His resurrection that Michelle has been raised up and now lives in His presence in His heavenly kingdom.
